AsiaRV's Insightful Visit to KNAUS Campingpark Lackenhäuser
Our esteemed delegation, led by AsiaRV in collaboration with TAPiO Management Advisory, recently had the pleasure of visiting KNAUS Campingpark Lackenhäuser in Germany. This enlightening experience offered deep insights into the operations of a high-standard camping park.
Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat, Chairman of MIDF Berhad, alongside Mr. Azizi Hj Mustafa, CEO of MIDF Berhad, were present to better understand the financing requirements of such a park. Their leadership and vision set the tone for a fruitful exploration of the camping park’s offerings.
Joining them were Mr. Pang Chong Yong, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Gemilang Coachwork, Datuk Wan Nazri Wan Aria, CEO of Pertubuhan Perkasa Ilmu Legasi Bangsa, and Mr. Joshua Ng, Chief Marketing Officer of Five Petroleum. Their keen interest in understanding the intricacies of a well-run camping park was evident throughout the visit.
Representing TAPiO Management Advisory, Mr. Bernhard Schutte, Chairman, played a key role in facilitating the visit. Mr. Thomas Bernthaler, Managing Director, led the AsiaRV team, accompanied by Ms. Carmen Lee, Business Development Executive, and Mr. Qian Lim, PA to the Chairman of TAPiO. Their enthusiasm and commitment to elevating the standards of camping parks in Malaysia were commendable.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Sandra Knaus, Chief Executive Officer of KNAUS Campingpark, and Mr. Michael Meyer. The hosts provided a comprehensive tour of the park, showcasing its impressive amenities and sustainable practices. The delegation was particularly impressed by the park’s harmonious integration with nature and its minimal environmental impact.
This visit provided valuable insights into what it takes to build and run a successful camping park. The knowledge shared by the KNAUS Campingpark team, from the eco-friendly infrastructure to the seamless operations, was truly inspiring. It was clear that their extensive experience, with 29 four and five-star parks across Germany, sets a benchmark for excellence in the industry.
Our delegation left with a wealth of knowledge and a clearer vision for future collaborations. We look forward to working closely with KNAUS Campingparks to bring state-of-the-art RV parks to Malaysia. Their potential investment and guidance in park design will be instrumental in ensuring that Malaysian camping parks meet international standards, providing an exceptional experience for both local and international RV enthusiasts.
